CFK Africa had the pleasure of partnering with the Nairobi Pickleball Club to launch Pickleball Mtaani, a grassroots initiative aimed at introducing the sport of pickleball to children in Kibera.
The event was held at the Olympics Basketball Court, where our youth got a hands-on experience learning the game for the first time. The reception from both kids and teachers was incredible full of energy, curiosity, and joy.
A highlight of the day was having Brian Omwando, who grew up in Kibera, lead the sessions. It was a proud moment for him to bring something new and meaningful back to his community.
The initiative aligns with our commitment to youth empowerment through sport, and we’re looking forward to continued collaboration to make pickleball a regular part of programming in our spaces.
